Take a moment and imagine your life if you could not read. Really, you would be missing out on opportunities that foster creative growth and thinking in all you do. If you could not read, your innate curiosity would turn to frustration and anger – not a good combination of feelings. Children born with a neurological disorder called dyslexia struggle with these feelings every day. Through no fault of their own they are faced with reading and writing roadblocks that can seem insurmountable….until now.
This September, we are walking to raise money to help children with dyslexia learn to read and write. Dyslexia cannot be cured, but it can be overcome. The program offered at the Children’s Dyslexia Centers offers the most effective treatment of its kind in battling this disorder. No one else in the nation has a program remotely like it with one-on one, professional tutoring offered to children, FREE of charge. And we need your help.
We are asking you to lace up your sneakers, raise some funds, and take part in the “Walk to Help Children with Dyslexia”, an annual walk through the streets of downtown Bay City. Bring in your pledges and walk with us. Click Below to open a blank Pledge Form for this year’s walk.
